Guided by the strategy of Regional Arab AIDS Network Against AIDS (RANAA), the consultation will provide a platform for the national networks and CSOs from selected MENA countries to review the role of CSOs in the Global and Regional Initiatives such as the Arab AIDS Strategy, Post 2015 Development Agenda, the regional initiative on Ending the Treatment Crises in MENA , the Regional eMTCT Framework and the Arab Convention on the Rights of PLHIV. The participants are expected to develop an action-oriented CSO statement to ensure their meaningful involvement and leadership in planning and implementation of these initiatives, while ensuring strong communication and advocacy mechanisms are identified to promote the role of CSOs in these regional and global initiatives.
