A regional workshop jointly organised by UNAIDS and the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) will gather people living with HIV, human rights activists, lawyers, representatives from the media, national human rights institutions from five countries in Middle East and North Africa (Egypt, Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen) to strengthen PLHIV and civil society’s legal literacy and their capacity to claim their rights and hold duty-bearers accountable for addressing human rights related barriers to HIV treatment. Participants will develop joint action plans which will receive further support by UNAIDS and regional partners in these five countries.
